"The Ultimate Call"

Boxing world champion Anthony Joshua, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and FIFA cover star Kylian Mbappé catch up in the best conversation you’ll hear all week. The trio chat about the highs and lows of being an athlete at the top of their game; from their hardest moments, to who’d win in a race between Mbappé and a prime Henry. This 60” director’s cut comes in support of the announcement that all three are now playable characters in FIFA 21.

It was wonderful to work on this project with Directing duo Rosco 5 and the team at Spindle headed up by Miles; Adam’s grade set the perfect overall tone for the film and helped tie everything together. Then it was over to our Senior Designer Sean @ Blind Pig who created a dynamic suite of graphics and animations to bring the key moments throughout the film to life.

Sean explains further that “the brief was to inject some high energy and vibrancy to the FIFA edit. We chose key points within the film, where we see the sports stars excelling in their profession and used a hand drawn frame by frame approach to highlight movement and actions. In addition, we used key FIFA artwork to cut into the live action footage, using silhouettes of the players to activate the dynamic artwork. The creative side was really great fun in this project, especially using disruptive and glitchy distortion effects between different scenes.”
