A delight to collaborate with our friends at Ultra Brand Studio to create a series of product teasers for the new Maserati Hybrid Model.

The goal was to bring to life the raw power of the Ghibli Hybrid whilst creating a hype and excitement about the first ever Hybrid Maserati. We used a combination of CGI & 2D to create strong electrical surges coming from within and around the model backed by a formidable soundtrack and colour grade to compliment the visual effects.

Our CG Artist, Matt Burn said, “We’re proud that this super-charged, fast- paced project delivered sparkling results within a very challenging timetable, due to the heroic efforts of our small team of artists. Technical wizardry and inter-departmental collaborations made this possible; our Nuke compositing team combined interactive 3D re-lighting of the vehicle from Maya with our Houdini FX department's wonderful electric simulations.”

It is always such a pleasure working with the teams at Ultra, their passion and enthusiasm really allow us to work together as a creative force therefore producing some really high end work.

Lead 2D Artist, Scott wrote “The creative direction we followed involved dropping the exposure of the car plates, in order to really exaggerate the electricity which interacts with the shots. This technique produced some beautifully lit shots that sparked into life for quick moments throughout the films, with dramatic visual results”
